Use a 19V AC Adapter on an 18.5 inch Laptop Connection?

When determining the size of a laptop monitor, the total display size is obtained by measuring two diagonal corners of the screen. Laptops with a larger screen size often are 17 or 18.5 inches. Keep the battery functioning on the laptop by connecting a power adapter to the system. If the computer is built for a 19-volt adapter, you may connect the two together. However, if the computer requires less electricity, you may end up damaging the system, or if the computer needs more, the 19v adapter is not going to charge the sufficiently.

Check the user manual of the laptop computer to make sure the system requires a 19v AC power adapter. If it does not you are unable to use the adapter on the computer.
Connect the power cable into the electrical outlet. Most 19v AC adapters come with two parts. The first is a single power cable that connects into the power outlet and a second part has the 19v adapter that connects to the computer.
Connect the opposite end of the power cable into the open connection on the brick of the adapter. This connection cable allows you to hook up the 19v AC adapter to the large laptop computer (it is provided with the actual battery adapter.)
Plug the opposite end of the adapter cable into the power port on the 18.5 laptop computer. Your computer now begins receiving an electrical current and powers on.
